Beginner students will:

• learn English language sounds and structures

• develop vocabulary and functional communication skills

• take frequent quizzes to monitor progress

• engage in role-playing situations and written assignments that build confidence and accelerate the ability to function in an English speaking environment

High Intermediate students will:

• acquire a good structural knowledge of English language
• use complex sentence structures and become familiar with idioms and slang from mixed media
• develop in-depth vocabulary and communication skills through challenging readings,  presentations and independent projects
• emerge from this level with a unique personal style in language usage

Intermediate students will:

• learn how to communicate accurately in more complex communication situations

• study more challenging reading and listening materials to further linguistic and vocabulary development

• use self-directed research assignments, class presentations, and on-going testing to prepare for entry into one of the three streams of specialization

Advanced students will:

• master the complexities and subtleties of the English language

• acquire confidence in applying language skills to all situations

• function in the English speaking world around them and use  sports idioms, professional jargon and other forms of advanced language usage

• read, listen to and observe English in the broadest of contexts

• graduate with near native fluency
